Girl Scout Troop 1233 in Lancaster will host an Earth Day electronics and metal recycling drive Saturday and Sunday at St. Mary’s Elementary School.
The drive will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day in the parking lot of the school, 2 St. Marys Hill, at the corner of Aurora and St. Joseph streets in the Town of Lancaster.
The Scouts will collect electronics and scrap metal, including computers and computer accessories, cellphones and phone batteries, holiday lights, appliances and gutters. They also will accept American flags for proper retirement, returnable cans and bottles and sundresses and flip-flops for the Lancaster Youth Bureau clothes closet.
The drive will not accept light bulbs, computer monitors with broken screens or TVs with broken glass.
