NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – The Journey Behind the Falls attraction reopened to visitors Thursday afternoon, six days after an elevator problem left 100 people stranded for 2½ hours on the lower observation platform below the Horseshoe Falls, the Niagara Parks Commission reported.
A parks spokeswoman said that Otis Elevator Co. repaired and inspected the attraction’s two elevators and that officials from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority for Ontario approved them for reopening.
