An Iroquois High School alumnus was struck and killed by two taxi cabs in East Harlem, Thursday night.
Laura Rothfuss was bicycling on Park Avenue at 9:20 p.m. when she was hit by a taxi crossing 125th St., police said. The 25-year-old was then hit by a second cab.
Rothfuss was taken to nearby Harlem Hospital with severe head trauma, where she died.
Rothfuss’ LinkedIn profile lists her as having attended the New York School of Interior Design between 2011 and 2012. She attended the State University of New York College at Buffalo for her undergraduate degree, having graduated from Iroquois in 2007.
Police said the cab driver had the right of way and Rothfuss ran a red light before being struck by the first taxi. Both drivers remained at the scene and no criminality is suspected.
