Buffalo school board member James Sampson is submitting a resolution for consideration at this Wednesday's board meeting asking that Superintendent Brown submit a detailed report about how and why the district has repeatedly failed to submit acceptable grant applications for Lafayette and East high schools. The News will live blog the Wednesday meeting.
As noted on this blog previously, this is the letter from the State Education Department outlining the deficiencies in both applications, as well as the many conversations state ed folks had with district administrators about the application shortcomings.
For those with a burning desire to see the actual applications, here's the rejected application for Lafayette High School (the third failed attempt to submit an approval application to the State Education Department), and here's the rejected application for East High School (the second failed attempt).
