International travelers who need passports can apply for them at a “Passports on the Move” session from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Wednesday at the AAA Travel & Insurance Center, 100 International Drive, Williamsville. The outreach session is sponsored by the Erie County Clerk’s Office and the AAA of Western and Central New York.

“I encourage anyone planning their upcoming vacation or a college student planning a semester abroad to come to our outreach and apply for their passport,” County Clerk Chris Jacobs says.

Applicants will need an original or certified copy of a birth certificate, a previous passport or original naturalization certificate, as well as proof of identity, such as a current driver’s license. Payments can be made by check or money order only. No credit cards will be accepted. Appointments are required. To schedule one, call 630-3778.

Those who apply at the outreach can expect to receive their passports in four to six weeks. If needed, the County Clerk’s Office can provide expedited service for an extra fee which will process the application in three days.
