LOCKPORT – A Ransomville man faces further charges after a Niagara County Jail corrections officer found him carrying a hypodermic needle in a left pocket in his jacket after he was dropped off at the jail on driving while intoxicated charges on Monday morning.

Michael L. Davis, 42, of Dickersonville Road was taken into custody and charged with prison contraband and possession of a hypodermic needle. Bail was set at $1,000.

The needle was taken for testing; however, Davis told officers that the contents of the needle would test positive for cocaine.
