Buffalo police late Wednesday afternoon were investigating an apparent suicide by gunshot in South Buffalo.
At about 2:45 p.m., police were called to a home on Woodside Avenue near McKinley Parkway, police spokesman Michael DeGeorge said.
A SWAT team that was called in a short time later and surrounded the house, entered and discovered the body of victim who died as the result of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
No other information about the victim was available Wednesday. Police blocked off Woodside between South Park Avenue and McKinley Parkway until shortly before 5 p.m.
