A Buffalo man was arrested early Friday after police said he refused to pay a cab driver and stabbed him in the hand with a screwdriver during a fight at William Street and Fillmore Avenue.
Robert Sherry told police that Leonard Jones of Mariner Street, no age given, refused to pay the cab fare and attacked him with the screwdriver.
Police recovered the screwdriver and a small amount of marijuana when they arrested Jones.
Jones was charged with second-degree assault, theft of services, second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana.
