Cody McCormick just returned to the lineup recently after being on injured reserve. And now, he's back out of the lineup with another injury.

Interim coach Ted Nolan said the forward is out for four to six weeks with an upper body injury. McCormick suffered the injury in Sabres 2-1 loss on Saturday when he blocked a shot.

Look for Cody Hodgson and Alexander Sulzer to return to the lineup tomorrow when the Sabres host the Winnipeg Jets. Both players practiced with the team and Hodgson said he feels ready to go.

At today's practice, the players worked on 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 battles. The coaches put a firehose on the ice as a way to get the players to work on battling in front of the net to create offense.

"I think it's all consistency," Nolan said about getting players to think offensively. "We did some more drills today about net-front presence. You have to get to the net. A few players told me in the past their father's always told them if you want to score goals, go to the net. So we've got to go to the net. We've got to create some traffic. Get some screens. Get some tips. Get some rebounds and that's how we're going to score."
