A 61-year-old Buffalo man was struck and killed by an SUV late Thursday night while crossing Genesee Street at Normandy Avenue in Cheektowaga, police said.
The identity of the man has not yet been released because members of his family have not been notified, according to Cheektowaga Police Capt. James Speyer.
Jacques Gardner, 27, of Tonawanda, who was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer, hit the man at about 10:47 p.m., Speyer said. No charges have been filed against him.
