A Cattaraugus County snowplow slid off Route 62 and into a ditch late Thursday night, but the driver was not injured, county sheriff’s officials reported.
Roy Smith, 61, of Randolph, was northbound on Route 62, heading back to the county highway barn in Markhams at about 10:30 p.m., when the snowplow slid into the ditch on the east side of the road.
Two heavy-equipment tow trucks and a county high-lift pulled the plow out of the ditch.
