One HSBC Center in downtown Buffalo will go dark from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday for Earth Hour, a worldwide call to action on climate change.
Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney Australia when 2.2 million people and more than 2,000 businesses turned off their lights for one hour to take a stand against climate change.
The movement has become the largest event of its kind in the world and symbolizes that by working together, everyone can make a positive impact.
