Junior Achievement of Western New York has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Travelers Foundation, a charitable arm of the Travelers Companies, to support its programming in local elementary and middle schools.
The programs include JA in a Day, which sends a team of volunteers to a school to present the entire five- to six-lesson JA financial literacy program in one day.
Twenty-seven volunteers from Travelers Insurance taught 10 JA in a Day classes on May 1 to students in third- to sixth-grade in Buffalo’s Enterprise Charter School.
