Women’s bar group gives Howe ‘outstanding’ rating

Erie County Surrogate Barbara Howe is the only Buffalo-area judicial candidate to be awarded the top rating – outstanding – of the Western New York chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, chapter president Elizabeth B. Harned told The Buffalo News on Thursday.

Candidates receiving the chapter’s “highly qualified” rating are: State Supreme Court candidate Mark Montour, Erie County Family Court candidates Mary Giallanza Carney, Deanne Tripi and Buffalo City Court Judge Debra Givens.

Qualified ratings went to State Supreme Court candidate Jeffrey Mario and Erie County Family Court candidates Paul Crapsi and Joseph Jarzembek.
