Student musical ensembles from Mount Mercy Academy will kick off annual Sounds of the Season holiday performance series at 2 p.m. today in the downtown Buffalo bus terminal, 181 Ellicott St., the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority announced.
The schedule also includes Our Lady of Black Rock School at 11 a.m. next Wednesday; groups from South Park High School at noon and 12:45 p.m. Dec. 17 following a visit from Santa at 11:30 a.m.; Randolph Academy at 11 a.m. Dec. 19; and Akron High School at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 20. Each concert is free and will feature 15 to 45 students performing for 30 to 40 minutes, except for the Akron High School concert, which will be 15 minutes and feature a roaming Santa.
